Subscribers to this list will know of Sandy Pittendreigh's wonderful work photographing churches, graveyards and war memorials.

The updated version of his cd-rom "Digital Tours of Dumfries & Galloway" is now available from Dumfries & Galloway Family History Society, price £20.

For anyone with roots in this area, this cd-rom is a must. It covers:

Towns & villages
Houses & gardens
Churches & graveyards
Stained glass
War memorials
River Nith
Coastal Walks
Hill Walks.

At £20 it is worth every penny. I cannot recommend it too highly. This is a personal recommendation. I have no financial or other interest in the sale of this cd-rom - except perhaps in wishing to promote Dumfries & Galloway - and the Family History Society.
