Hello - I'm new.
Can anyone help with my Strawbridge family please?
>From 1841 census James Strawbridge was born c.1811at Wigtown. I have been unable to trace this.
Family information states that James married Elizabeth MacFadyen in 1831 at Stranraer. I have been unable to trace this. It is possible that this could be a Roman Catholic marriage which I have been unable to check so far,

They had 9 children all born at Stranraer born between 1832-1846: Mary, William (my direct line ancestor) Robert, Elizabeth, Alexander, Agnes, James, Ann and Philip.
I have subsequent information about most of these children, and would be pleased to share this.
James died 1846 - 1851 - untraced! and Elizabeth nee MacFadyen died at Stranraer 1854.
Any help or advice welcome.
