Can anyone please help identify a "UP" minister named Meiklejohn who was
interested in botany and was good at the identification of flowers and
ferns? He must have had a good collection of botanical books.
Rev. Meiklejohn made regular visits to the home of Rev. Walter Smith.
Walter Smith was minister of Half Morton (and Gretna) from 1856-1890. He
and his wife Margaret Lorrain Brown had a large family.
Any help welcome.
(There is no family connection with my own name.)
