Maybe I just replied to another of your messages. I just returned from Luss, Scotland visiting the home land and the Colquhoun museum. I also come from the line of WIlliam and Deliverance and their son Samuel. His son Robert went to Tryell County, NC and populated the county with Cahoons.
My grandmother was a direct line Cahoon and her husband my grandfather's ggggrandmother was a Cahoon. To add more to the mystery My mother's line crosses the Cahoon line also. The most amazing thing was that James the curator of the museum pronounced Colquhoun as Cahoon just as we do. It was a wonderful trip but beware it always rains in Luss.
