I can't be sure if your(Mandy Fox) Kane that immigrated to Canada in 1928 is connected to my Price, Brown's and Cain's, but I have a gut feeling they are.

The reason I feel so sure is that my husband's grandmother Helen Brown Price, whose mother was Mary Cain, lived in Bonhill all of her married life, and also had family in Renton. How big a place could it have been back then?

My Mary Cain came from Magherafelt, Derry, Ireland. and married William Brown there on November 23rd, 1858. She had at least one of here children in Renfrew County, Greenock, Scotland Helen Brown November 30 1874. Thsi is the Helen Brown that married Henry Price, and lived in Bonhill till she came to Canada.

Helen Brown immigrated to Canada in 1927.
Where did your Kane's end up. How old was your Mary Kane when she came to Canada, she could have been a cousin???

Helen (Brown) whose mother was Mary Cain, came to Canada on a ship called LETITIA. The date was October 16, 1927, and it landed in Quebec City , Quebec. Not sure how they got from Quebec city to Montreal, buy there stay in Quebec city was just for landing purposes, their destination was Montreal, where two older children already lived.

Also, Helen (Brown) Price named her first dayghter Mary Kane, and Helen's youngest daughter named her second daughter Mary Cane, and the name Price and Pryce come up everywhere, so spelling is of no consequence when trying to connect families.
Wish I had more, sorry.
