Subject: Lists are back!
Date: Sat, 5 Apr 2003 12:58:43 -0700
As most of you are aware, a couple of weeks ago our Dunbartonshire List went down due to a problem at Roots Web. This problem was due to their hard drive crashing, I believe. It was fairly serious but they managed to `mostly resurrect posted messages.
Our Dunbartonshire List is one of around 13,000 various lists on `Lists2.
The support group at RW managed to get the lists up and running for a short time but came across several other problems so had to shut the lists down again for a few days.
The support folks at RW are great in keeping the List Owners informed as to what's going on, but obviously we cannot contact subscribers re. the list problems.
The last problem was specifically with Digest messages.
We are told that all is now working fine. .......
Keep the following URL handy please.

If you're ever wondering why or if the mailing list is down, check this site below. the "Yellow Box" will have a note. Look specifically for mention of lists2.

PS--I used the words that Wayne Hannay used when he contacted his Wigtownshire listers of the same problem.--thanks Wayne!)
