Will of James Dunn of South Crolina. Abbeville County
In the name of God Amen
I James Dunn of the County aforesaid being Advanced in Age & declining in bodily Strength but of a Sound Memory (blessed be God ) do this day the eighth of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety-nine Make & Publish this my last Will & Testament in Manner following ( this is to say )
First I give to my meloved Wife Agnes Dunn her Horse & Saddle one fourth part of all the Cattle Hogs & Othegoods & Chattles Also Her bed & Furniture big wheel & Little whel Also as much Grain & Fodder as shall be sufficient to support her, her Horse, & Two Cows Anually & her ressidence on the plantation in the Dwelling House With My Son Robert if she Choose so or otherwise as shall be hereafter Dircted.
Item- I give & bequeath to my Daughter Margret Dunn One Dollar.
Item I give & bequeath unto my Son Thomas Dunn One Dollar.
Item Igive & bequeath unto my Daughter Ginny Lyion one Dollar
Item I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Richey One Dollar.
Item I give & Bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah Martin One Dollar.
Item I give & bequeath unto my son Samuel Dunn All that Plantation or Tract of Land whichI bought of John Collins containing One Hundred & Fifty Acres & One Forth Part of the goods & Chattles of my personal estate provided he pay to his Mother one third part of the Grain& Fodder as above Mentioned & fifty weight of good Pork anually during her life if, she choose to live on the Plantation but if

She Choose to leave it & live With Any of her Daughters or by her Self in eithe these if Cases if she would choose Money then in that case to Pay five Dollars Annually During her Life.
Item I give & bequeath unto my Son William Dunn one half of the Plantation ( on which I live ) In Quantity & X quality ( that is of Half ye Value on the Side ajoining Michael McGee & William Barmore to be Valued & Devided by three Disinterested Citisens Also one fourth part of the goods & Chattle of my personal estate provided he pay & comply with the prevision & Condition as above Stated in my Son Samuel,s Leggacy to his mother during her Life -and Lastly I give & bequeath unto my son Robert Dun then one half of my plantation on which I live including the House with previlligeof his Mother to live in the House if she choose to live in another House in that case Samuel William & Robert jointly to raise her a comferable House to live in also one fourth part of the goods & Chattles provided he pay to his mother one third of the Grain & Fodder as shall be sufficient to support her, her horse & two cows annually & fifty weight of good pork pr annum if she choose or else if !
she choose to live with any of the Children to pay Her five Dollars per Anmun During Her life
I constitute & ordain my Loving Wife Agnes Dunn & my Son Samuel Duu Executrix & Executrix to this my Last Will & Testament to see it performed to the true interest & meaning in Witness whereof I S d James Dunn do hereunto Set my Hand & Seal the day & year above written in presence of.
