Dear Friends

My Grandmother Elizabeth Ritchie (Nee Carrick) appears in the 1881 Census at
Monkwearmouth, 22 at this time, her surname was incorrectly spelled as
Richie. My Grandfather 33 at the time, was a travelling Draper and he was
in London.

Tracing them both has taken some time. I am now on the trail of their
parents.
Elizabeth Carrick was born in Haltwhistle in 1859.
William Ritchie was born in Scotland (I believe in Kilwinning, Ayrshire) in
1848.

Can anyone confirm this for me.
