I received a document copy from the National Archives a while ago, being
part of a ship's muster. It covers November & December 1802, though the
piece, ADM 36/15203, covers the dates July 1802 to January 1803. There
are a few names of men from the north east & for anyone's interest they
are listed below with their ship's numbers if given. If I understand the
document correctly, the men all entered the ship on 1st July 1801, and
their ages at this time, ie on entry, are given and shown below.
-, Thomas W Manners, age 21, from Newcastle
194, Robert Hall, age 24 (?34), from Sunderland
200, John Babbington Stodart, age 22, from Newcastle (my relative)
205, Thomas Young, age 21, from Newcastle
Cheers,
Ian
