Dear Carl:

Do you know the exquisite books by Rien Poortvliet - In My Grandfather's
House, and Daily Life In Holland in the year 1566?

They are both full of details and pictures of life in rural areas and in
the cities between the years 1566 and about 1944. They were first written
Dutch, have been translated, and now are both out of print. If you are
anywhere near Calvin College library, they have at least the first book
listed.

They both detail men and women's clothing.
