Hi, List:

First, I would like to thank all those who supplied me with their e-mail
address.

Secondly, thanks again to all who commiserated with me.

Lastly, (and probably most importantly) to those of you who have backed
up your addresses/bookmarks against the time they might need to be
reloaded, I can only provide you with my own experience as a means of
guidance to you. If you have a catastrophic crash of your browser, so
that you have to reload everything, unless you can match every character
and case and word in your user profile, you will never be able to view
you prior records. My browser, Netscape, has placed information in the
system registry which tended to defeat my attempts at reconstruction of
eight-year old info (long-forgotten) and it tended to cause a re-crash.
My years of mail are GONE. I am not permitted to see my years of prior
addresses or my collection of bookmarks. I now believe that to have the
information off-line, or in another folder, is ultimately not the way to
go. I think the safest way is to have a hard copy printout....no
case-sensitive userid or password or ISP provider info required. My
prior employer would kill me for saying that. (I was a systems
analyst/programmer with a Fortune 100 company. I used to be frustrated
with those people who required physical files. I know better now!)

BTW. I am connected to the Dyers via Jane Dyer, dau of Asa and Ruth
Whitmarsh of Weymouth, MA (in the simplest pathway).
