Hello Diana,
You might want to check out the book, THE MUDD FAMILIES IN AMERICA
by Dr. Richard Mudd. You might be able to get your hands on a copy through
your local library via interlibrary loan dept. The MUDD/DYER family lines are
direct descendants of Dr. Samuel A. Mudd, the famous physician who set
John Wilkes Booth's leg, the night after he shot Pres. Lincoln. Dr. Mudd's
wife is SARAH DYER. Alot of these families were the first settlers of
Maryland,
and some of them moved out to Missouri. I'm sure you can find out more about
the Dyer's at the Charles County Maryland Historical Society or in Baltimore
Historical Society.
