My husband is a descendant of Wiley Dyer, son of James Dyer and Ann
Deyl,
through his son Reverend Edwin Dyer.

While I did not have your Sarah Louise's marriage to Adam Benson
Powell, I
have different information about the death of her mother. I show
she died
May 25, 1901 in Plainview, Hale Co., Texas.

As far as documentation on the Dyer's, there were two book written
on this
family, one was James Dyer, by Elizabeth Ann Wright and another
Dyer Family
History, England to America, 1600-1980" by Watson B. Dyer. Watson
shows
James Dyer as a grandson of Roger Dyer who died in a indian
massacre. There
were several James Dyer's found in records of that time and I don't
believe
that we will ever be sure who the father of our James Dyer was.

I have the following information on Simpson Cash Dyer. Note that I
have
added your marriage information for Sarah.
