There was/is a 'Llanfair' in Llandysul (Newcastle Emlyn RD). Plenty of
THOMAS's associated with it in the 18 and 19th centuries. I haven't
come across a Col NEWLANDS there but then I haven't been looking for
him. Your dates are also a bit more recent than my info. so could be
worth a try I'd say.
