Dear List,
Have a Will for an Esay who made his mark, but his baptism record would appear to show his first name as Isaiah.
In the 1700's would the North Pembrokeshire Welsh pronounce Isaiah as Esay, or was it perhaps the Welsh equivalent? Any thoughts?
