Hi everyone,
I would be grateful if someone could help with a translation of the phrase "gan bwyll" which appears in some old Parish Records. On looking in my Welsh-English Dictionary "with caution" seems a possibility. It doesn't, however, seem appropriate as I think it could be a nickname for someone or the name of their dwelling. I will be pleased to receive any suggestions.
Regards,
Margaret Harvey
