Hi List,
I've been away for 18 mths or so & am now trying to catch up with all the new stuff available. I'm looking for the 1871 Census, & John John family on it.
I have them on the 1861 census living at New Road in the Parish of Begelly.
John - age 35 Coal Cutter b. Carmarthen
Elizabeth - age 34 b. Carmarthen Langan
Mary - age 12 b. St Issells PEM
Thomas - age 7 b. Begelly PEM
Martha - age 5 b. Begelly
Lizzie - age 2 b. Begelly
John - age 1 b. Begelly

The 1881 Census has them at Buttles, Begelly. The family now is:
John - head
Lizie - dau age 25
Robert - age 15
Hannah - age 12
George - age 9

It appears that Elizabeth has died in between these dates, & all other kids except Lizie have left home. Son John is my G/Grandfather. I haven't found him in the 1881 Census, but he left Wales in Apr 1883 with his brother Robert to come to Australia. I did find a John John lodging with Aaron Felton family at Ystradyfodwg, GLA, but it shows he was born at Sanders Foot PEM & age 23.

Could Sanders Foot be a part of Begelly Parish?

Is the 1871 Census available for lookups? If so, is there a kind person out there who can do one for me please.

Is the 1851 Census available yet for St Issells? I'm thinking that seeing as Mary was born in St Issells in 1849, the family may still be living there in 1851. Is there somebody who can do a lookup on the 1851 index if possible please.

Thanks in advance for any help received.
