Dear friends, Thanks each of you so much for all the kind words of Hermina
and your fun memories too.. She was a very giving person.......... If I may
tell you all of what she was to me...... she was the big sister that taught me
to crochet when I was 9.sitting under the apple tree on our small farm. she
was the one who came to my side with each birth of my 4 daughters......she was
the one who made sure there was a Christmas when I was divorced and had no
job...she was the one who set up savings accounts so my daughters could go to
college.....and lifted every problem I had into a challenge........and always got
the family through it....she made us all smile when a smile was the last
thing anyone thought of doing.........and through all this she was really
struggling to even walk, breathe , and be independant.... she went to college on
crutches 6 weeks after having her hip put into socket and her leg lengthened so her
heel would touch the ground..........graduated in chemistry and got a super
job at Monsanto.......she had to retire in 86 because she got so winded walking
. My brother had been on line and talked her into trying it too. .when she
got on line it was opening a world to her of good people who never really
wanted to know her defects........only what she really was......a good friend to
all....you all made her time confined to her home so much
