Seeking confirmation of the theoretical line of descent presented
below for Calvin CODDINGTON from James CUDDINGTON/CODDINGTON of
Bletchingley, County Surrey, England. Also seeking the full names
of my other Coddington "grandmothers" and their ancestries,
including the families of MARTIN and OOSTERHOUDT.

Years ago, one researcher provided the following as part of her
lineage:

James CODDINGTON, b. Bletchingley 1530, d. there; m. there Joan
_____, also b. and d. Bletchingley.
Stockdale CODDINGTON, c. Bletchingley 8 March 1569
John CODDINGTON, b. Dorking, England 26 May 1605.
John CODDINGTON, b. Boston, MA 9 Feb 1653.
Benjamin CODDINGTON, b. Woodbridge, NJ 8 Oct 1680.
Benjamin CODDINGTON, b. Woodbridge, NJ ca. 1740/1.

A different researcher sent me an excerpt from a document by
another descendant of my direct ancestor, Calvin CODDINGTON, which
gives the following pedigree for Calvin:

Benjamin CODDINGTON Jr., m. Woodbridge, NJ Katherine MARTIN.
Christopher CODDINGTON, b. NJ; m. Rochester [probably the Rochester
now called Accord, Ulster Co. (my brackets)], NY 13 Oct 1753
Maria OOSTERHOUDT.
John CODDINGTON, b. 1778; d. 12 July 1845 Hector, Schuyler Co., NY;
m. Mary Ann ROBINSON.
Calvin CODDINGTON, b. Cayuga Co., NY; k. late Dec 1836 by a falling
tree; m. 1821 Sarah Ann PORTER.

The attachment of "Jr." to Calvin's great-grandfather Benjamin
CODDINGTON's name implies that his father may have been named
Benjamin CODDINGTON Sr. Given the Woodbridge, NJ connection, it
seems highly probable that the two Benjamin CODDINGTONs named in
these separate pedigrees are identical.

I welcome any information that supports or refutes the speculations
above or provides clues to further research. Please respond
