Howdy one and all,

This mailing list is great! I got a lot of useful comments to my previous
Van Ness question not to mention I got to meet (in a cyber sort of way) some
of my distant cousins. I look forward to a productive sharing of information
with them.

Now I have another, less involved question. Back in the mists of time, two
brothers crossed the ocean blue and settled in this country. One was Rutger
JACOBSE who married married Tryntje Janes VAN BREESTEDE and had three children:
Jacob RUTSEN (who married Maria Hansen BERGEN), Grietjen RUTGERS (who married
Jan Janse BLEECKER), and Engeltje RUTGERS (who married Melgert Abrahamse VAN
DEUSEN).

Rutger's brother was Teunis JACOBSE who married Sara DENIJS (DENYS/DENIS) on
19 Apr. 1650 at the Reformed Dutch Church in New York.

Here's my question: Who were the children of Teunis and Sara???

I know that Jacob Teunise VAN WOERT was their child and he went on to found
a large family of Van Woerts (he's my direct ancestor). I have seen here and
there that Eva TEUNISSE who married Esaias SWART is also listed with a good
degree of probability as a child of Teunis and Sara. Another child that I
have seen listed and one which I have a big question about is Elisabeth
TEUNISSE who married Jacobus PEECK.

Does anyone know for certain (or with a reasonable degree of probability)
if Eva and Elisabeth listed above are children of Teunis and Sara? Both
of these women had children named "Teunis" and "Sara" which is a small
plus in favor of tying them with Teunis and Sara mentioned above. And
does anyone know if Teunis and Sara had more children than these potential
three? And while I'm in a questioning mood, does anyone know anything about
the ancestry of Sara? I believe she came from England and that's about all
I know. I wonder if any of her siblings came to this country with her.

Thanks for any help anyone might be able to give me. I look forward to
hearing from anyone who might be a cousin and especially those who are
happy to exchange info.

Take care,

John H. Camp
