I am forwarding this message to all the mailing lists I am on, not to
point a finger at anyone, but as a gentle reminder that it only takes a
few seconds to say "Thanks" and doesn't leave the person on the the
other end wondering if you even got their message/letter/package.

Happy Hunting to All!!

Liz

Recently I went out of my way, searching thru bunches of genealogical
papers to find some addresses, in answer to a request for help when dealing
with Brittish searches. The person never acknowledged my reply, let alone
thanked me. To me, one of the nice things about this genealogical hobby is
the feeling of fellowship with our fellow searchers. But, after a few
times of going out of your way for someone that hasn't the courtesy of
saying "Thanks" you may think twice before putting yourself out. So,
please, let those who help you know that you appreciate their help.
