I'm not directly related to this line, but it of periperal interest to
me so I add the following:

[in 1733] "Caspar Rouws, born in the Palatinate at Neobomburg,
in Germany, and living at Kinderhook in America, with Christina Wyles,
widow of Charles Wyles, born in Esopus and living at Kinderhook"
(sorry, but I can't tell whether I found this in the Claverack or
Kinderhook DRC records). I would bet that Casper Rouws was one of the
Palatines brought over to America in the 1710s. You might want to
consult Henry Z. Jones, Jr.'s "Palatine Families of New York, 1710" to
see if Rou is mentioned there.
Christina Wyles was in fact Styntje In 't Velt, bpt. 21 Oct.
1683, at the Kingston DRC, daughter of Roelof Hendricks (In 't Velt) and
Aeltje Lubbers. Styntje married Charles Wylie some time before 1707,
after which they had seven children bpt. in the Kingston DRC. I am
interested in the Hendricks/In 't Velt family, and would like to
exchange information with anyone else interested in this line.
