Page 19.--In the name of God, Amen, May 1, 1762. I, CAREL BOERUM, of the New
Lots, in the town of Flatbush, in Kings County. My will is that all just debts
and funeral expenses be paid. I leave all my estate, real and personal, in
Kings County or elsewhere, to my wife Rebecca during the time she remains my
widow. "And in case she marries, I give her my bedstead, with a feather bed
and all its furniture, and œ100." I leave to my daughter Else, wife of Leffert
Lefferts, œ200. To my eldest son Jacob œ6 for his birthright. To my son
Abraham œ160. After the death or marriage of my wife, my executors are to sell
all my estate and divide it among my three sons, Jacob, Gerritt, and Abraham,
"which ever will give the most, but if they cannot agree, then my executors
are to sell and divide." I make my wife and sons executors.

Witnesses, Joris Rapalye, Stephen Ryder, Simon Boerum. Proved, May 6, 1763.
