I can supply some biographical detail about this couple, and a list of
many, perhaps all, of their children. Styntje, wife of Paulus Jurckszen,
was often referred to as Styntje Jans, which was probably her patronymic
name, and sometimes as Styntje Paulus, identifying her in terms of her
husband's given name. Any indication of their parentage or siblings would
be most welcome! Presumably Paulus was son of someone named Jurck, and
Styntje was daughter of someone named Jan.

Children of Paulus Jurckszen and Styntje Jans, born in Albany:
i. Mynouw Paulus, b. say 1660, m. 29 Nov 1679, RDChh, New York,
Willem HOPPE.
ii. Johannes Pauluszen JURCKSE, b. say 1662 in Esopus [Kingston], NY,
died after 24 Nov 1700, before 4 May 1701. He m.(1) (banns 11 Jun
1681) 9 Jul 1681, RDChh, New York, NY, Janneken DERRET/DRET/DERETH.
He m.(2) possibly 1698, said 4 Jun 1693, RDChh, Philipsburgh, NY,
Annatje Joachems VAN WERT, widow of Johannes MINNE or MINNELE of
Haverstraw, NY.
iii. Annetje Paulus JURKX, b. say 1664, m. 2 May 1683, RDChh, New York
(also recorded at Bergen), Matthys Adolphus HOPPE.
iv. Cornelis Pauluszen, b. say 1667, m. 11 Oct 1696, RDChh, New York,
Jannetje Andries.
v. Germina/Wyntje/Weyne JURCK, b. say 1670, m.(1) 9 Aug 1693, RDChh,
New York, Casparus SPRINGSTEEN; m.(2) bef. 5 Jul 1696, Abraham
DE VOE.
vi. (poss.) Rachel JORCKSE, b. say 1673, admitted 1694 to DRChh,
Hackensack, NJ

I would be happy to obtain more information about any descendants of this
family.

Regards,

Robert
