I suggest that perhaps the younger Elbert Lucaszen was born a couple of
years before his baptismal date, and he is the fellow who married Styntie
Hendricks -- the daughter of Hendrick Hermanszen and Egbertje Jansen.

Dorothy it is also possible that the family went back to the Netherlands as
there is no other mention of them from 1656, when Elsje was baptized and again
in Oct. 1663, when Elbert was baptized. There could have been other children
born back in Holland. It is hard to say what happen in those year. They might
be on a passenger list for 1663 or 1662.
But I am happy that you agree with Eldert Lucaszen not being a Van Voorhees
as I was begining to think all my dates were wrong. But I did have Antje
Elderts Van Voorhees, daughter of Eldert Lucaszen Van Voorhees, married to
Hans Bergen, but I also had her born in 1684, which was also impossible. So I
must have mixed them up early on in my research. That was the only child I had
for Eldert Lucaszen Van Voorhees.
