I would like to recommend to those D-C searchers, or those just beginning
to search - to check through the excellent D-C archives at
www.rootsweb.com, go to searches on the left side, click, scroll way down
to the bottom and click on search
a million messages, click, when the box comes up, put in Dutch-Colonies.
You can search by surname for several different years.

I have found (and fellow researchers have found for me) many excellent
postings on my family lines. The Dutch-Colonies group is extremely
knowledgeable.

Searching the archives is a great place to start.
