I don't know the parents of your Cornelius Brink but will check a book that I
have, "The Brink Book" by Laurel Powell 1997 and see if he is listed in
there.. The Brinks originated in Ulster Co NY in the 1600s. All were children
of Lambert Huybertsen (Huybertsen a patronym) of Wageningen, Netherlands. All
of his children took the surname Brink and it appears that this was the
family surname originally. Many by the name Brink still live in Wageningen.
Lambert Huybertsen's will is on file in Ulster County Probate records. It is
thought he had another son, Gerrit, was was not named in his will and for
some reason Gerrit's children all took the surname Terpening. Many are
disputing this claim though.
