Hello Jean, Wayne and list,

The Prince's Land or -in Dutch- Prinsenland: this might refer to a polder &
manor in the utmost NW part of the province of Noord-Brabant about 8 miles
north of the town of Roosendaal.
The town -not county- of Leerdam is about 45miles north of Prinsenland, in
the province of Zuid-Holland.
But, Gutsenhoven, is that the only reading?
There is a small village Guttekoven/Guttecoven/Guddinkhoven in the province
of Limburg, about 20 miles north of Maastricht, close to the city of
Sittard. That's pretty far away from Leerdam (at least after Dutch
standards!)
I haven really found any other hamlet or village with a similar, or close
name. Of course there remains always the possibility that Jan Bastiaanse has
gained his surname from a manor, estate or farm. But to find that out I have
to visit the lib.
Kindest regards,
Willem
