Do you know if the Teuntje of the 1707 bpt below is one of the two
grand daughters of this name in the 1735 will of Catharina Van Dyk's
father Jan Jansz Van Dyck? He referred to one as
"Teuntie, widow of john Fleigh" and the other as
"Teuntie Ricpon, deceased, who was the wife of Dr John Van Buren, Jr."

I gather that the "grand son John Stephens" named in the same will was
also a child of Luykas Stevense & Catharina Van Dyk?

Laurie that was John Sleigh. Teuntje was married 5 Sep 1728 NA DRC. to John
Sleigh. He was the son of Barent Sleigh and Hilletie Jans Woglum. The father,
John died prior to March 1733: Here is his Will:
Abstracts of Wills Vol III 1730-1744, page 141:
Page 148.--William Cosby, Captain-General and Governor, etc. Whereas, JOHN
SLEIGH, of New York, joyner, died intestate, Letters of administration are
granted to Teuntie Sleigh, March 20, 1733.

So we know that Teuntie's son, John was born between 1729 and 1733. Teuntie
then went on to marry Henry Wessels on 29 November 1736. (NA DRC).

Well enough for tonight. It is so surprising how all the information fits
together after you get one little old lead. Thanks again Laurie.
