Betty, again thank you. I'll study this and compare it with what I have.
Piecing the clues together is amazing. I have other indications that there
was a connection between the Reading [NJ] DRC and the Claverack DRC [NY]
prior to 1775. There were many TEN BROECKs at Claverack and I will follow up
at Reading.
My interest is in Joseph VAN ETTEN/VAN ATTER [bp 17 Oct 1761] in whose RW
pension file an affidavit of Adam TEN BROECK appeared. This affidavit
indicated that Joseph originally enlisted with Captain John C TEN BROECK.
Other data I have shows this might have been as early as 1775, but could
have been in 1776. Most of the info I have on John C TEN BROECK indicates he
was in Claverack, Columbia Co [created from Albany, 1786] NY or Albany.
Anyway, I'd like to find out WHERE Joseph VAN ETTEN signed up under the said
John C TEN BROECK so I can understand where Joseph was living at the time.
In the materials you have does John TEN BROECK's name ever appear as John C.
TEN BROECK?
Thank you very much for all, Lorelei in SanFran
