Lisa, Mr. Hoff's whole article (3 pages) presents the evidence! The
paragraph quoted below, i.e

"Henry B. Hoff says, "There is good evidence that William and Daniel
Hendrickson were the sons of Hendrick Willemsz of Albany and his wife
Gisseltje/Geesje [Alberts] Bradt..." continues

"Hendrick Willemsz is known to have died in 1677, leaving sons William and
Daniel. Moreover, the names of Hendrick and Geesje occur among the
children of both William and Daniel, some of whose sponsors were van
Eckelen children of Gisseltje Bradt by her first husband..."

A few says ago Howard Swain shared an outline he had prepared about how to
locate source material in libraries and other repositories to enhance our
knowledge of our New Netherland ancestors.

May I suggest two methods for people to obtain full-text copies of journal
articles.

1) Go to your local library and ask the librarian to look in the online
OCLC database to determine the location of libraries throughout the
country that hold volumes of the journal you would like to consult. You
may find that there is such a library collection conveniently located near
you.

2) Or contact directly the Society that publishes the journal of interest
to you. The New York Genealogical & Biographical Society has been
publishing its scholarly quarterly -- "The Record" -- since 1870. Their
telephone number in New York City is (212) 755-8532. Call and see how
much they charge per xerox page, and if you choose, you can then order a
copy of the journal article you wish to read. If you prefer to write, the
address of the Society is
The New York Genealogical & Biographical Society
122 East 58th Street
New York, NY 10022-1939

The Society's web page ishttp://www.nygbs.org

Don't be limited by what you can find on the web :-). Dorothy
