Greetings:

Plagues occurred both periods. In medievel europe, 1300's, it was "Bubonic"
plague, spread by fleas from rats to humans; rats and humans died. Origins
in Gobi desert, spread to asia (china pop dropped from 120 mil to 90 mil!)
