Yes Elsie since I asked the original question, I have been enjoying the
responses too. Thanks all for your efforts in clearing this up. You are
GREAT!!!!
Now, I have a new one for you. I am researching for DAR membership, the
service of Jacob Hasbrouck. The New Paltz book indicates that the Jacob Jr.
Hasbrouck that served was the son of Jacob (son of Jean), and he would have
been about 50 years old. My family research states that the Jacob that
served was Jacob I (the son of Isaac, Jacob, Jr.'s brother) and he would have
been about 30 years old. Jacob I. married Sarah DuBois. Can anyone help me
out here and straighten out just which Jacob actually served???? Marge
