This is the Statistics generated by my Reunion 6.0 program for 2200
individuals mixed Germanic/British Isles background, 1800-present, all
American born or American immigrants, NJ,NY,MN,WI. Of course, not all the
info is complete and sometimes just years are given for births and deaths.
(Reunion didn't go to the 2nd decimal.) This info correlates well with
LTerpening's. I put my family's generational span at about 25 years, or 4
per century. And there are as many as 41+ years difference in ages between
members of the very SAME generation.

I love to ask my 5/6th grade classes how many of them are already aunts and
uncles (try half-aunts and half-uncles) by the age of 10 and quite a few
have nieces and nephews older than they are! Of course, this is today's
"generation of minorities in the inner city" with teenage
pregnancies...with a generation that sees children going to the funerals of
their greatgreatgrandparents! (5 - 6 generations per century)
