Hello all,

Although I now live very far away, I grew up in New Jersey. As a child
living on a farm outside North Branch, I was aware of the area's Dutch
history: the Dutch Reformed Church, the old Dutch names in the local
cemeteries, the Dutch names of our roads-- and our citizens--VanDerveer,
etc. The most memorable Dutch memory for me was my grandparents' house,
next door, said to be built of bricks sent by ship form Holland "two
hundred years ago". Well, the two hundred years has turned into 250 in the
meantime, and the house is still standing.

Are any of you researching the North Branch area, along the Raritan River?

Melody
