Carolyn,

Many of the early Dutch Reformed Churches became Presbyterian, in
Pennsylvania and Kentucky simply because they could not get ministers from
Holland or American to serve the congregations. Either there were not enough
Dutch ministers to serve the communities or the distance was to far away and
the minister was not interested. This is true of the DRC at
Neshaminy-Bensalem which became Abington Presbyterian Church and in Kentucky
the Old Mudd Meeting House also became part of the Presbyterian church
