David,

In you post, you mentioned the Berne DRC. I discovered a number of
SCHAETS/SKAATES cousins who were baptized at the Berne DRC by searching
through the LDS IGI (International Genealogical Index) records, which at the
time were only available on microfiche.

Don't forget, when looking for difficult to find published church records,
that the LDS has filmed and indexed many of them.
