According to "Notes on the Aten (Auten) Family published in a 1922
issue of the Proceedings of the New Jersey Historical Society, the
name of his first wife is unknown. Unless, new information has been
discovered, this Grietje would not be his wife.
A check with "Early Immigrants to New Netherland" published in 1883
by the NYG&BS there was an Adriaen Hendrickse from Berckeloo who did
arrive on the "Faith" in May 1662. However, it said he was a farmer
and no family was included. Thus, he is a different Adriaen.

If you would check those church records again you will find that
Adriaen Hendricksen Sips and Grietje Warnaerts intended to marry
with a banns date of 13 January 1656. They were married 4 February
1656 and had three children. With her marriage to Hans Diedricks,
Grietje (Margrietje) had two more children.
