There's been a lot of information on the Cronkheits of New York lately, so I wonder if anyone can help me with this?

I have a Rhoda Cronk born ca. 1770, probably in Dutchess Co., New York of unknown parentage. She became the second wife of UE Loyalist Daniel Babbitt about 1796. By that time Daniel was living at Gagetown, New Brunswick. He was considerably older than her.

There are two possible families that she could fit in to that I have located so far:

The first is that she was a daughter of Henry and Mary (Way) Cronk who were Loyalists of New Brunswick.

Another possible link is that she was the daughter of a Timothy Cronk of Fishkill, NY b. 1748. Said to have had a first wife (name unknown) and children Hiram, Samuel and Rhoda; 2nd wife Deborah A. Brown.

Can anyone supply me with any additional information on these people? Any help appreciated.
