Hello Susan
Just one quick thought - my local Genealogical Library has originals
of works collected and gifted to them many, many years ago, that are
still readily available for examination. What do you suppose will
happen to your on-line postings in that many years, or for that
matter in 10 years?
That nightmare could happen in the sweep of the second hand in the
unstable world of the Internet. Everything we post must be backed
somewhere by paper copies, perhaps placed in the hands of an
Historical Library/Society or at one of the more prestigious
Genealogical Societies? One that is not in danger of going under in
the rush to embrace the on-line substitutes.
