No. Steven, I do not see this is just a genealogy site. It is, rather, a
place to discuss, and learn, about the colonial Dutch, their customs,
government, religion, and whatever else there is about them that we find
interesting. Of course there is a genealogical interest here as well, and
that is important, but it is not what drives all of us. My own ancestors
were neither Dutch nor colonial, but I find the colonial "Dutch" (half of
whom were not Hollanders) a fascinating lot, especially because they provide
us an early microcosm of modern, multinational, multicultural, multiracial,
multireligious America.
