When I was following the trail of this name, with Dorothy Koenig
very kindly assisting me at that point in my research, she had
this to say:

"In the Hackensack records "Meijnou" 's given name appears as
"Meyne" and
"Meyna". I think it was "Menne", a Frisian given name that
threw the
proper Dutch speakers for a loop."

Evidently the given name Jurck is also of Frisian origins, and I
believe she felt that this might be some clue to the origins of
this family.
