I agree. I might add that this licnese, then, is different from the "certificate" that
they seemed to get if the banns were one place and the marriage another.

Yes, absolutely. And we are lucky to have now the new Voorhees transcription
which shows that the original record many times did identify the town where the marriage
or baptism was performed.
