Peter and Eva married March 13, 1803 in Caldwell, Essex Co., NJ. The
"Boice children went to Nova Scotia, the Van Houten children to Sussex
Co., NJ" seems to be almost totally in error. (At least one Boice
child, Nicholas, went to Sussex Co.; there is no evidence, according to
a previous post by Dorothy, that any went to Nova Scotia; I've seen no
evidence of Van Houten children for this couple; it was Eva and her
Jacobus and Van Houten husbands who went to Sussex Co.)

Sussex Co. deeds in which Peter G. Van Houten figures:

F:413, dated Aug. 25, 1801, Peter G. Van Houten and Adrian Van Houten
bought from Richard Edsall Jr. of Sussex Co. a lot of land in Wantage
totalling 108.75 acres for 1101 pounds 6 shillings 6 pence.

F:411, dated Oct. 20, 1801, Peter G. Van Houten of Bergen Co. sold to
Adrian Van Houten of Sussex Co. one equal undivided share of the land
sold to him by Richard Edsall Jr. in the aforesaid deed for 108 pounds
New York money.

I:327, dated May 6, 1803, Cornelius Kipe and wife Christina of Saddle
River, Bergen Co., sold to Peter G. Van Houten of Saddle River his half
share of land in Hardwick which John A. Jacobus, late of Hardwick,
deceased, did purchase of Daniel Hunt for $875.

P:53, dated Mar. 27, 1806, Peter G. Van Houten and Eve his wife of
Hardwick sold to Major Anthony Squires 3/4 acre of land on the N. side
of Paulinskill for 4 pounds 17 shillings 2 pence.

X:158, by order of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the High Sheriff of
Sussex Co. sold lands of Peter G. Van Houten on the north bank of the
Pauliskill to Frederick Snover Jr. of Sussex Co. to settle his debt to
Cornelius Kip. I didn't get the exact date of this, but it was sometime
in 1811, about 4 years after his death.

I believe that Adrian and Peter G. Van Houten were brothers.
