I think it more likely that Ariantje's mother was named
Neeltje. Ariantje's probable sister Geertruy named her
first daughter by Cornelis van der Hoeve, Neeltje.

The full marriage record in Kingston reveals some details
about Jacob (not Jan) Joosten which might help place him.
Marriage in Albany by Domine Gidoen Schaats of Albany,
recorded by Domine Blom. 1662 19 Sep Jacob Joosten, jm, of
Raagh [Graach on Moselle in Germany near Berncastle, 1/2
way between Teves and Coblentz] on the Moesel [Moselle] in
Duyslant [Germany] Precentor [of the Church] and
Schoolmaster here [in Wiltwyck, now Kingston], and
Arriaentjen Verschuer of Welpe [Velp, just east of Arnhem
in Gelderland] widow of Marckes Leendersen, residing at
Fort Oranje [Fort Orange now Albany]. Married at Fort
Orangje. Banns published in Wiltyck: fist 6 Aug; second 13
Aug; third 20 Aug.
