Greetings, list -
Further regarding my query of two days ago (see below), I asked the question of Firth Fabend,
author of "A Dutch Family in the Middle Colonies", and she in turn asked
a learned and expert Dutch historian of NN, and got this reply:
"All the names were published, it's just the financial information which has
been left out. Actually, there is a debit and credit side per entry. It is
in New York Colonial Manuscripts somewhere. You should be able to find it in
O'Callaghan's calendar."

period 1654 to 1664 the West Indies Company kept a ledger book of accounts
both paid and owing for voyages. Only the debit side (money due for passage)
has been published as "Passengers to New Netherland" in the Year Book of the
Holland Society of New Netherland 1902:1-37"

It seems to me that this would be extremely valuable information for
searchers of people like Jan Pieterse Haring, whose arrival in New Amsterdam
has not been documented.
