Hello Fellow Listers,

I recently purchased a copy of "The Island at the
Center of the World" by Russell Shorto on ebay. It is
a great book for all Dutch Colonies listers. I also
own the following books that form an excellent basis
for anyone who really wants to get a feel for life in
the 1600's in New York and New Jersey:

Pre-Revolutionary Dutch Houses in Northern New

Jersey and Southern New York by Rosalie Fellows

Bailey

Dutch Houses in the Hudson Valley Before 1776 by

Helen Wilkinson Reynolds

Landlord and Tenant in Colonial New York
Manorial
Society by Sung Bok Kim

New Amsterdam and It's People by J.H.Innes

I know that some of this can be very boring reading
for some people but they very worthwhile.
