TY for the info, maybe you can help further. I have Tryntje Roeloffs or
Tryntje Roeloffs Jans as being the mother of Anneke Jans. Is this the
same person? Do you know Anneke's father? Do you know any of Anneke's
I appreciate so much the work I am able to get from the Internet and the
discussions on the lists. I am disabled and unable to get to the different
sites for class 1 informational sources. My mother-in-law traveled through out
New York and New Jersey in the 1950's churches, cemeteries, libraries, city
halls, etc. I am still trying to figure out the system she used to show where
she obtained her information. What makes it worse is that she worked in
pencil and much is fading fast. I have chapters of several books written
verbatim again in pencil. Some of her annotations are in shorthand. I have had a
friend look at some of it and it must be her personal twist on Gregg
because it is NOT Gregg.
Bob is trying to scan some of her work using a darker print and it is
working to some degree but it is long and tedious work.
Now you see why I rely so much on the goodness of the people on the lists in
gaining access to the information I need.
