According to David M. Riker's Supplement to his Genealogical and Biographical
Directory to Persons in New Netherland from 1613 to 1674, COURTSZEN was the
patronym of Adriaen Block who came in 1611 (see page 399).

The son Jan Aeriansen which you list as born in 1615 could possibly be the Jan
Ariaenszen listed as coming to New Nethrland in 1654 (see page 416).

There were two men, Hendrick Aertszen and Jan Aertszen (not the Jan Aertszen who
bacame the patriarch of the Vanderbilt Family) who made records in New
Netherland as early as 1664 and 1660 respectfully (see pages 412, 416).

I mention them because the patronym would sound similar to Aerianssen when
pronounced. In the case of Jan Aertszen, the name became Harrison (see page 416).
