The marriage license of Cornelius Lane and Styntje Monfort of 9 Aug 1782 includes the following note:
"This is to certify that my son Cor'lus LANE is of age. . . [signed] Aron LANE"

>From this it appears that he was the grandson, not the son, of Cornelius Lane and Neeltje Longstreet as appears in the A. Van Doren Honeyman in the Somerset County Historical Quarterly article, [SCHQ Vol III p 219]
